This unique property is located in the posh area of Koundouros, a short distance from the beach and beach bar, and enjoys uninterrupted sunset views of the Aegean Sea. The Athenian owners, lovers of Kea, built the Villa as a getaway from the hectic life of the Capital, in a most privileged location, offering complete tranquility and privacy. They totally succeed in their aim. Though, they haven’t really explored all the beauties of the island they so passionately love. The truth is that once you step your foot inside the house you hardly ever want to venture out. A decorative butterfly, hanging next to the entrance door, is the trademark of the house as well as its good luck charm.Constructed exclusively with Kean rock, the villa is perfectly integrated in the Cycladic landscape and as it faces south-west it is protected from the 'meltemi', the strong north summer wind.Covering a total area of 250 s.m. in two levels, it can accommodate up to nine guests. The upper level consists of a spacious sitting area with a fireplace, a dining area for eight guests and an open plan kitchen, fully equipped with modern appliances. One comfortable bedroom and one bathroom complete the layout of the upper level. The living area directly opens up to a vast veranda where the imposing overflow swimming pool lies. The outdoor shower and the shaded lounge area make it the perfect spot for rest and relaxation during all hours of the day or night. Close to the pool, stands a big shaded dinner table where you can dine al fresco, enjoying the sea views. A stone-built BBQ, complemented with oven, will definitely be appreciated by those fond of barbequing.The lower level features three large bedrooms, three bathrooms, a sitting area with a built in couch where one more guest can sleep and a small kitchen next to a storeroom.Air conditioning and ceiling fans are provided in all bedrooms. The spacious verandas on this level act as natural extensions of the bedrooms and since they are protected from the sun and wind, they constitute the ideal setting for guests to marvel the panoramic sea vistas.The setting is complemented by the large garden surrounding the property, featuring Mediterranean trees like olive, lemon, pomegranate and almond, plenty of fragrant herbs such as lavender and rosemary, as well as red and white bougainvilleas and a plethora of indigenous plants in an extraordinary estate of 4.000 s.m.
